Amazing stuff, Mr. Magoo! Big thanks from a big fan. Would love to hear some more Chaos gigs ("TRIBAL WARFARE SOLVES NOTHING!!!"), but I dunno what's been most popular with everyone else...Anyhow, best of luck with your blog, or rather should I say punk museum.

I was at the Stress gig. They were supporting The Violators who didn't turn up. Anyway Stress came across as a bunch of wankers. They asked if the skinheads were NF and made comments, like they (Stress) were racist, to get the crowd on their side. The skinheads couldn't be bothered and ignored the band and a couple came over to me with my anti racist anarcho punk fashion statement and I thought "oh shit", but they bought me some cider. I was only 17 then, but went back many times to Skunx and was treated better by those skinheads than my local nazi punks. I bootlegged Stress but threw the tape away a long time ago. I may just download this to see if I can hear their fucked up comments.

Nice one as usual, particularly the Fits gig...shame they never made a proper mixing-desk live record.

Riot Squad - Demo (?)
----------------------
1. Riots In The City
2. Religion Doesn't Mean A Thing
3. Why Should We

Hm, this is NOT a demo, is it?
It´s their second 7" from 1982.
Only the trackorder was changed and the sound quality ;P
You can hear the crackle of the vinyl in between....

Riot Squad tape:

Yep it is the same tracks as on the 2nd 7". It was also released as tape format.

Take a look at it here:

The Roach Motel "demo" posted here consists of a section from a compilation cassette of USA/Canadian mid-'80s hardcore bands - which I put out in 1986. The first three songs are indeed by Roach Motel (sent by the band at the time, and which could well come from their demo - I can't remember), but the next two are by Local Shame, an obscure hardcore band from Corning NY.
